Jumar is recognised as one of the 2023 UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™

Jumar is thrilled to announce its recognition as one of the 2023 UK's Best Workplaces in Tech™. The list was launched this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising Jumar among the list of top 100 organisations in the Small & Medium Size category. This accolade underscores Jumar's commitment to fostering a workplace that values its employees and provides an environment where they can thrive.

Jumar has always strived to create a workplace that prioritises its people and their wellbeing. The company's recognition is driven by its dedication to several key principles:

Flexible Working Arrangements: At Jumar, we understand that every individual has unique needs and responsibilities outside of work. That's why we offer flexible working arrangements that cater to the needs of our people, empowering our team to find the work-life balance that suits them best.

Positive Company Culture: Our inclusive and supportive company culture is at the heart of Jumar's success. We encourage our team members to bring their whole selves to work, fostering an open and collaborative environment where everyone can thrive. This positive culture is built on the foundation of respect, trust, and teamwork.

One Jumar employee shared, “Jumar is one of the best companies I have worked for and seems to be doing everything to make working as enjoyable as possible."

Jumar Wellbeing Group: In 2022, Jumar launched its Wellbeing Group, a dedicated initiative focused on promoting employee wellbeing using four pillars as guiding principles: Mental, Physical, Financial, and Social wellbeing. The group organises various activities and offers support to help our team members lead healthier and more balanced lives.

Activities include an annual 'Wellbeing Week’, lunch and learn sessions, sharing one-minute messages on environmentally friendly hacks, and providing opportunities to work with the local community. Our team members have actively engaged in activities such as singing for care home residents at Christmas and supporting a local homeless charity by donating their old shoes.

Supporting Our LGBTQ+ Colleagues: At Jumar, diversity and inclusion are cornerstones of our values. That's why we established 'Jumar Pride,' a group dedicated to supporting our LGBTQ+ colleagues and their allies. The group organises talks from members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as lunch and learn sessions, to promote understanding and allyship within our organisation.

Mental Health First Aiders: We recognise the importance of mental health, and to support our team members, we have trained and continue to support a network of mental health first aiders. These individuals are available to provide guidance and support to team members when needed, ensuring that our workplace remains a safe and compassionate space.

Jumar is Carbon Neutral: Earlier this year Jumar officially became a Carbon Neutral business. Our journey to carbon neutral and beyond reflects our unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship. Through a comprehensive approach encompassing reduced emissions, sustainable practices, reforestation initiatives, collaboration, and ongoing improvements, we have reached this important milestone.

Commitment to Social Value: Jumar is not just about business success; we are committed to making a positive impact on society. To this end, we allocate two social value days per year to each of our employees. These days are dedicated to giving back to our communities and making a difference in the lives of others. A group of Jumar team members recently spent a day volunteering with the Heart of England Forest, contributing to reforestation efforts and preserving our natural environment.

CEO of Jumar, Wendy Morgan, commented, “This recognition is a testament to the incredible individuals who make up the Jumar team. We are proud of our commitment to providing a workplace where our people can excel and grow. This award is not only a celebration of our past achievements but also a commitment to continue improving and supporting our employees in the future."

Sarah Wright, People Director at Jumar added,As we celebrate our recognition as one of the 2023 UK's Best Workplaces in Tech™, I want to thank our incredible team members who make Jumar a great place to work. Their dedication, passion, and commitment have been instrumental in achieving this recognition.

The Best Workplaces in Tech™️ list celebrates companies adept at developing dynamic, collaborative cultures that serve as a catalyst for innovation and personal growth for all.

Great Place To Work® UK administered its research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based tech employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list.  The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfillment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
